Oh my! As mentioned in my previous post, our church is having a craft sale / bazaar next month. One of the requirements of each vendor is that they donate an item valued at $10 or more for the silent auction. These proceeds will go directly to our church for events such as our Fall/Halloween festival (games, crafts, candy, and hotdogs - no charge to participants) and other similar family Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16321507067897611945noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6645386651626998182.post-62695118110364958702016-09-17T14:06:00.001-05:002016-09-17T14:06:59.786-05:00Lets Try This Again ..
Ok, even though i got moved into the house the end of May - and made a blog post saying how I was "back" .... yeah, well .... hopefully now I'm really back.
It took a while for me to get the unpacking (most of it) done, and get things set up. Lots of personal family issues going on as well, so that put the sewing room setup on hold.
I finally got this table put Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16321507067897611945noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6645386651626998182.post-62914730401712910182016-05-29T09:48:00.001-05:002016-05-29T09:48:45.422-05:00Starting Over ...So I'm all moved in to the new house (not completely unpacked yet). And I have internet again (haven't had that in two years). Looking forward to setting up a new sewing room (an actual room, not a dining table or a desk in the living room).
Hope to be back in the swing of things and sewing again in just a few short weeks! This week I am working on a set of baby bed bumpers for my soon to be born (in about two weeks) grandson. He will be my third grandbaby, but my first grandson. No, he wont be spoiled. Well, at least not one bit more than the two girls are!
Three done, three more to go. Trying to get them done this week so I can take them Saturday when we go to his big sister's Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16321507067897611945noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6645386651626998182.post-28378059181134025492015-07-07T12:24:00.001-05:002015-07-07T21:10:04.970-05:00Sweet Baby Girls ...
I've been refashioning or upcycling or being thrifty (or all of the above) lately.
This is a men's dress shirt refashioned into a toddler dress.
You cant see in these pictures but I also made her some little matching panties/diaper cover from the sleeves of the shirt.
This sweet girl is a boon to my sewing ego. I have the shorts done on the third set, and half the top cut out. I have to go get more red fabric tomorrow. I hope they still have some!!

Slacking on the blogging again, but not on the sewing.
Whipped up these two tops (one more to go) for the littles.
I got the shorts done after it was too late to take an outdoor pic.
Then I tried it on the littlest little.
Middle little will get hers this weekend. And I still have to make one for big little (AKA Gabbie-Lou-Who).

Through the holidays I sold items at a local shop Art.Craft.Play and it was a wonderful experience.
The owner, Shannon was great to work with and I sold quite a few items from Oct to December.
Business is slower after the holidays and she is cutting her hours back for the next three months or so, so I'm back in business with my Etsy shop Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16321507067897611945noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6645386651626998182.post-91849958899246609282015-01-02T12:42:00.000-06:002015-01-02T12:42:42.767-06:00New Year, New ProjectI put away everything I was working on previously and started a new project today. I was just so burned out on everything I was rushing to finish, things I had to put on hold to finish Christmas (lots of stuff I just never even got to) so I packed it all away yesterday and brought out a new bundle (well, I bought it months ago, but an unopened bundle).
I just need to start fresh, take my time, Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16321507067897611945noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6645386651626998182.post-74274299192465311132015-01-02T09:23:00.000-06:002015-01-02T09:23:02.392-06:00Year End ....
2014 saw a lot of big events for the babies in our family.
Our first baby started Kindergarten this year. She is doing wonderful and loving every minute of it. Her speech is improving daily, and she's growing up so fast.
We added this sweet baby to our family this year ......

Well ok, I only have two of them done so far, but there will be three.
These are for the big Little and the middle Little. I still have to do one for the bitty Little.
The pattern is Easy Peasant Dress by Tie Dye Diva. It is truly easy. (Seriously, I made both of these in one afternoon/evening). Her patterns are great and soooo easy to follow. It's been a busy long weekend around my house!!
I've been making things in anticipation of adding items to a new shop that is opening near me that will have a selection of things from local craft vendors. They've invited several of us to come tomorrow night to see the space (almost finished with the renovation) and find out a little bit about how things will work.

Just a quick finish to show today.
My niece asked me a while back for a purse like the ones I've been making for everyone. I told her what kind and how much fabric to get and she picked out her own designs / colors and brought them to me. She ended up buying fabric for two purses.
This week I finally got a chance to make one of them for her.

These are just cell phone pics. But Christening Day is just ten days away so I need to get this to BabyGirl so she can get everything ready for the big day. I might be able to get better pics afterward.
The first two pics are before it was washed. The last one is after washing.

Welcome to a new week. It's been a busy one but not a lot of sewing. I did make these little dresses a couple of weeks back, and finally got them gifted and the Momma's got me some pictures.
I had to make Ivy Rose a second one because the first one was too big. I made it by the 0-3 months pattern and she was only just over six pounds so it swallowed her whole! Today I am linking up with Kelly's Korner for her Show Us Your Life series. Today's topic is Show Us What You Make And Sell.
Many of you reading this already follow my blog (thank you!) but for those of you that are new here, I'll give you a brief bio.
My name is Paula and I am mother to two (BoyChild and BabyGurl), grandmother to two (Sadie Lynn and Ivy Rose) and Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16321507067897611945noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6645386651626998182.post-4709155045144656552014-08-04T10:05:00.001-05:002014-08-06T08:26:53.820-05:00Monday Update .......
Real clever title for this post huh? I haven't blogged much lately. I have been busy and have several finishes, but not much time for blogging.
First, my greatest accomplishment (well, ok, my daughter's accomplishment, but let's not split hairs ok?)

Granddaughter #2 has arrived!
Also, I finished this little dress on Monday for Sadie, and I have Ivy's cut out and ready to sew!

I finished it up last night and gave it a washing. (Note to self: do not use towels in the wash with a navy quilt. The fuzz will require some serious sticky roller attention! Next time use pillowcases or anything lint free to balance out the washer!)

Yeah, I know, the title isn't very creative. It's early. I haven't had enough coffee yet.
Finished this top over the weekend. Used the Line Dance Pattern from Moda Bake Shop. This top goes together quickly and easily. I'm sure I will be using this one again.
The charm squares are April Showers and the blue is Bella Solids Royal.
