Bears! Oh my!

As mentioned in my previous post, our church is having a craft sale / bazaar next month.  One of the requirements of each vendor is that they donate an item valued at $10 or more for the silent auction.  These proceeds will go directly to our church for events such as our Fall/Halloween festival (games, crafts, candy, and hotdogs - no charge to participants) and other similar family events throughout the year.

I just finished my items.

Basket, bib, burp cloth ... with bears!  Oh my!

Sewing room is still a wreck and I have to look and dig for every single item I need (I even had to buy new rulers, I have absolutely. no. idea. where my rulers went during the move) but I am sewing and that's a good thing.  I won't be making anything big (quilts) for a while, but I hope to make some placemats and mug rugs, both for the craft fair and for my own use this year.

Stay tuned.  I'm slowly getting back in the swing of things!

Linking up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict today.

Delivered

Uhm, the package is delivered, not the baby!

Finished this project up this weekend and gave it to the momma-to-be this morning, so I can share it now.

I also made a little something for the big sister.

Bibs and burp towels for sweet baby girl, due in August.

Big sister's pouch is filled with pretty-girl goodies like nail polish (in some wild colors) and flavored lip gloss.

Welcome!!

I've just started this new blog SEWY STUFF to separate my sewing / quilting posts from my personal blog.  The sewy stuff was beginning to take over lately!

Thank you for jumping over here and following.

I've been enjoying this little beauty I bought myself for Mother's Day.

And I've created only a couple of small projects so far (with the new machine).

The very first thing I sewed on the new machine.

And the second.

(I'll show you the last thing I created on the old machine right after Sadie's Baby Shower.  I don't want DIL seeing it yet, but BoyChild did give his seal of approval!)

I'm also thinking about opening an Etsy shop when I get a few items made up, so if anyone wants to offer any tips and ideas for making that venture successful, please share!

Thanks for following along!!
