Tuesday!

Yeah, I know, the title isn't very creative.  It's early.  I haven't had enough coffee yet.

Finished this top over the weekend.  Used the Line Dance Pattern from Moda Bake Shop.  This top goes together quickly and easily.  I'm sure I will be using this one again.  

The charm squares are April Showers and the blue is Bella Solids Royal.

I wasn't sure what I would back it in, then I remembered this flannel I bought on my recent shopping excursion, and it matches beautifully.  I plan to bind it in something red, but I don't know exactly what yet. 

And Saturday we had Sweet Sadie's first birthday party.  She really enjoyed it!

Tuesday's Tales ...

This is what I'm currently working on ... Some four-patches.  My first time to use this block, and I LOVE IT!!

 

I still need to make eight more blocks though to get the size I want.

 

(Oops, I just noticed some of those bottom blocks are turned the wrong way!  It's ok, they're not sewn together yet!)

They were on sale and I got free shipping on my order over $50.

 

These pictures just do not do justice to these beautiful fabrics. 

 

I've been eyeing that Hip Holiday fabric for several months.  Last week I saw the Norwegian Woods bundle on Stash Modern's Facebook Page and I had to have it.  Like right then!  So I added the Hip Holiday to get me over the $50 free shipping limit! 

 

I also went to Hancock Fabrics 50% off Columbus Day sale yesterday, but that's gonna have to wait for another post.  I got a lot.  (But I saved 55% off batting, then saved an additional 10% off my entire order with a coupon, so "I done good!"  :-)

 

And, I've also caved to the 'peer pressure' (ok, no pressure, it just seemed like a good idea) and joined Bloglovin' - so follow me!!  (I'll try not to lead you astray!)

Tuesday's Tales

So, here is where I am on my Hexies by Halves quilt along with Polly.

 

Top is done!! 

 

It needs another good (really good!) pressing, and the sides have to be trimmed, but I will wait until I am ready to start quilting to do that. 

 

The light was fading, so these pics aren't the best.

 

 

And I got Sadie's quilt top pieced last night. 

 

This is just charm packs of Sasparilla (Riley Blake).

 

(These pics are really bad because they were made indoors, very late)

 

 

I hope to get to quilt this one pretty soon.  Nothing fancy.  Probably just straight line, maybe on the diagonal if I'm feeling adventurous. 

 

I did get to babysit Saturday night and let Sadie try out the new quilt!
